Jellyfish and Zentangle Pattern.

    Few days ago, I had an imagination to draw sea creature combine with zentangle pattern. Following the meaning of this sea creature, NOAA said Jellyfish is a invertebrate what have dome shape on its body and it is called Phylum of Cnidarian. This sea creature is roving, have umbrella shape, and hanging sting on its body (NOAA.GOV, 2023). It was challenging to combine this sea creature with zentangle art. I tried to draw the nature element as its body. It drew in watercolor paper (8,3x117 inches and 200 gr/m2). I colored on this character with polychromos pencil. It had combination. Mostly, I used the secondary color on its (green, purple, and orange).

    This art had two different apart, it was head or top and was base or body. The head part described about Jellyfish head what had special pattern and color. I drew the pointing pattern (stipple) as shadow for its dome. In this side, I colored with dominant yellow and purple to make fresh and elegance establishment for this jellyfish. It had little shape like smoke, it was my idea to make it different and unique. I also lay the purple for enigmatic view. I interested to put the vertical lines on its dome. It purposed to make the head part alike the jellyfish in the nature. Moreover, the body part. Did you know? in the nature, this part is the place of hanging sting (tentacle). This section was my favorite part. I imagined to make floral and doodle art stick together with zentangle pattern. I sketched dominant leaves to show the floral doodleart. In addition, I pictured the smoke effect with zentagle line inside of it.

    In addition, I colored every part of Jellyfish character. I used polychromos pencil and make two different color each part. It was purposed to make shadow and strong character. I tinted dome with dominant of yellow and orange. Furthermore, I colored the little part with dark purple. Second, the base part (the body). I painted with dominant green and yellow the reason because it suitable for floral dooodleart accompanied by zentangle pattern. I wanted to establish fresh and have similar color with the dome.

    The conclusion, drawing and coloring zentangle art was interesting and challenging. I supposed be patience and take time to do that. It was a lot of fun for the process. Sketching, Drawing, making patterns, and coloring were fabulous experiences to make imagination being real. Wonderful experience!
